On the initia­ti­ve of Prof. Dr. Jalid Seh­ouli and Prof. Dr. Wer­ner Lich­ten­eg­ger the “North-East Ger­man Socie­ty for Gyneco­lo­gi­cal Onco­lo­gy” was foun­ded in Ber­lin in 1998. An asso­cia­ti­on of over 800 spe­cia­lists from cli­nics and medi­cal practices.

The qua­li­ty of life of can­cer pati­ents is the focus of the acti­vi­ties of this asso­cia­ti­on of gyneco­lo­gi­cal onco­lo­gy with the lar­gest num­ber of members.

At natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal level, inter­di­sci­pli­na­ry know­ledge from rese­arch and prac­ti­ce is bund­led, fur­ther deve­lo­ped and dis­se­mi­na­ted in a society.
